Early in February 7 of us went to The Star Inn The City for a celebratory lunch after my brother’s civil wedding ceremony at the York Registry Office. When we arrived we were told our table was being prepared but it was ready quite quickly. Apologies if things in my post are slightly different as I’m writing this more than 3 weeks later!
On Saturday it was my brother-in-law’s birthday so his girlfriend booked a table for us at The Folly in Oxford where they live. Its a lovely little restaurant/cafe that’s under the Folly Bridge. You go down some stairs on the Folly Bridge where you can find the restaurant. Its terrace floats on the River Thames and you can actually get on a cruise that leaves from the terrace if you so wish.
We were in Kendal over the weekend as Keith’s childhood friend was getting married in Ambleside. The day of the wedding we’d decided to pop into Kendal to get some lunch (the wedding wasn’t till 3pm so we had loads of time to kill!). We stumbled upon Slate while trying to hide from the pouring rain!
After our trip on the Maid of the Forth we headed further into the little village that was near the pier. Keith found The Boat House on a list of recommendations on Tripadvisor while we were on the boat out to Inchcolm Island. We therefore decided to have lunch there.
We’ve visited Bill’s in Nottingham a few times since they opened up here. We’ve tried it for Breakfast and also Lunch and Dinner.
The first time I’d heard about Annie’s was when Annie left the Navigation Inn in Nottingham to set up her own premises in the Lace Market. I heard loads about her amazing burgers when she’d been in the Navigation Inn so was quite looking forward to trying her burgers on her own premises.
We visited Inferno Pizza last weekend for some quick lunch. Its situated opposite the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.
We visited Thaikhun in January 2016. This is a really big restaurant that does brilliant authentic tasting food. The service is really good as well! Here in Nottingham its currently on the 1st floor of the Victoria Centre.
We decided to give Ed’s a go for a late lunch on New Years Day. We assumed that it wouldn’t be that crowded which was right. Therefore you usually expect that staff would be more attentive and service would be quite good! Unfortunately we were quite wrong.
We visited this restaurant at Main Road, Rhosneigr LL64 5JP, Wales with our friends and their 2 daughters (a 6 month old baby and a 2 year old toddler) in October 2015.
