Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire (National Trust)

Over the Easter bank holiday weekend we went to Hardwick Hall for a family day out in the amazing good weather (for the UK). We’re trying to really get our money’s worth with our membership as you can probably tell!

You pay for admission in the ticket office then make your merry way into the house and gardens. Its quite a large hall and there are several floors so I wouldn’t recommend taking a pushchair. We used our baby carrier.

The house is rather impressive and the grounds are quite large. I believe you can visit the old hall as well but we didn’t opt for that.

Baby facilities:
1. Changing – the baby change facilities are the most impressive that I’ve seen in a NT property so far! Its clean, modern, functional and spacious! They even have a chair and space for you to feed your baby in private. It also impressed me that the toilet was in a separate room within it!

2. Accessibility – As mentioned above its probably better to take your baby carrier as there are lots of stairs within the house so a pushchair isn’t advised.
