We visited Thaikhun in January 2016. This is a really big restaurant that does brilliant authentic tasting food. The service is really good as well! Here in Nottingham its currently on the 1st floor of the Victoria Centre.
We were seated quite promptly by a very polite young woman who apologetically sat us right behind one of the server stations. As it was quite a busy Saturday lunch time we accepted it.
My husband ordered an Iced Thai Tea (tea basically made with condensed milk and whip cream on top) while I ordered a large Coke.
We ordered the starter Sukumvit 38 Platter (a traditional platter with salt and pepper squid, fish cakes, chicken spring rolls and honey pork). This was absolutely delicious! As its meant to be a taster platter it means you get to taste 4 different items without having too much food! The portions were perfect for sharing between 2 people.

For our mains we ordered Geang Phed Ped (Thai red duck curry – slices of roasted duck, cherry tomatoes, pineapple and grapes in a mildly spiced red curry topped with red chillies and sweet basil) and Kao Ka Prao Gai (Chicken with Thai basil and chilli – spicy minced chicken stir fried with garlic, chilli, basil, soy and oyster sauce served with steamed rice and a fried egg). We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. There was just enough spice that gave it a kick without being uncomfortable but it tasted very authentically Thai.

I would also recommend downloading their app on your phone when you visit as they have a loyalty system where you get 40% upon your 7th visit! All you have to do is get a member of staff to input their code onto your phone in order to stamp it at each visit! Very cool as it means you don’t need to find space in your wallet/purse for yet another loyalty card!
Overall we were both very impressed with the service and good food and we’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
