We first discovered this hidden gem of Nottingham by attending a wedding fair there in Nov 2013! It was the very first venue we’d visited but we fell in love with it immediately.
It is an early Tudor manor house and a Grade 1 listed building in Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham and is the family home of the Brackenbury family.

When we wanted to find out more about using the hall as a wedding venue, the owner, Robert, was very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed! Subsequent visits and conversations with Robert only made our minds up even more! Robert was always willing to entertain any idea or suggestion and even provided some suggestions for how we were to set things up! The gardens are beautiful and the hall has an endearing charm that makes you want to visit again and again.
We had our Chinese Tea Ceremony in the Medieval Lodgings and our wedding breakfast in the Long Gallery. The gardens and the grounds were opened to us and our guests to enjoy in the beautiful spring day of April 2015 when we had our wedding. All our guests were completely awed by this venue.

We stayed the night in their ‘wedding suite’ which is in the Medieval Lodgings (the original part of the hall) and Robert and his family took such great care of us. The next morning we were provided with a fresh cooked breakfast and we were even given some gifts to remember the hall by which was an absolutely lovely touch.

On a none wedding day the Hall is open at certain times of the year for visits from the public. They open the house up and you can see all the original furniture, exhibits and paintings they have there. They also operate a little tea room in the Ballroom! Please click HERE for their House Opening Times and entry fees.
If you wish to have your wedding here, I’d just note that they do not provide catering or anything. They merely provide the rooms and the furniture (tables, chairs). Everything else like cutlery, dinnerware, etc will have to be provided by your outside caterers. We used Fiona Herbert Catering for this and they’re absolutely brilliant and have worked alongside Holme Pierrepont Hall for years.
We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!
